The winners and runners up have been introduced for the 2021 Audubon Photography Awards, now in its twelfth yr. 2,416 photographers from all 50 United States, Washington D.C., and 10 Canadian provinces and territories submitted 8,770 photographs and 261 movies. The latter was added because the Nationwide Audubon Society felt that feminine birds have been overlooked and under appreciated prior to now.
Over $15,000 in money prizes have been awarded to class winners whereas the Pupil Prize winner will attend Hog Island Audubon Camp for six days in 2022. Winners and finalists will probably be featured within the Summer season 2021 difficulty of Audubon journal and added to the digital Audubon Photography Awards exhibit. Photographs and movies from this yr’s competitors may be seen on the official contest page.
